Three held in October homicide in San Jose, authorities say

San Jose police said three people were in custody on suspicion of shooting and killing a man in October, according to a department press release.

The two adult suspects were identified Wednesday as 19-year-old Milpitas resident Addam Nieto and 18-year-old San Jose resident Brian Medina. Police said they also arrested a 17-year-old San Jose juvenile in the case.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot around 2:38 a.m. Oct. 27 on the 100 block of South Second Street. They found a man who had been shot at least once; despite life-saving efforts, he died at the scene.

It was San Jose’s 26th homicide of 2024.

The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office publicly identified him Wednesday as Laquin Marcell Golden, 22, of San Jose.
