De La Salle wrestler Caleb Tatad is the Bay Area News Group’s boys athlete of the week for Feb. 12-17.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Tatad had 43.84% to finish ahead of Leland basketball player Trevor Cosgrove, who was second at 27.79%.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
After finishing third last season and not going to the state meet, the senior finished first on Saturday at the NCS championships, beating Tanner Bartonico of Liberty 17-3 in the final. De La Salle won its ninth consecutive team crown.
