Archbishop Mitty’s Morgan Cheli’s talents were rewarded as the 6-foot-2 point guard was among 48 high school seniors, selected from more than 729 nominees (girls and boys), to play in the McDonald’s All American Games on April 2 at Toyota Center in Houston.
Cheli recently scored the 1,000th point of her high school career, a milestone that no doubt would have happened earlier had it not been for the pandemic and an injury-plagued junior season.
Cheli is the third player from the Mitty girls program to be selected for McDonald’s All American. She joins Rometra Craig (2000) and Haley Jones (2019).
Cheli is committed to the University of Connecticut.
