ANTIOCH — Firefighters on Friday afternoon were battling a brush fire along the San Joaquin River in Antioch, authorities said.

The blaze was reported around 3:35 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 4th Street in Antioch.
As of 5 p.m., the fire had consumed 18 acres and was 0% contained, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said in a social media post. No structures were threatened.
