One person was killed Saturday night in Fremont in an automobile accident on southbound I-880, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The call came into the CHP at 8:38 p.m. for an incident north of Mowry Ave. “A witness reported a vehicle traveled off the roadway and collided with a tree or a wall. It’s not clarified yet, but it may have struck another vehicle. It doesn’t sound like anything major to the other vehicle — they kept driving and then returned to the scene,” says CHP’s Officer Andrew Barclay.
