Woman arrested in Millbrae 7-Eleven robbery, attack on clerk

MILLBRAE – A 36-year-old woman was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of robbing a Millbrae convenience store and attacking a clerk, according to authorities.

Palo Alto: Police investigate attempted carjacking of rideshare driver

The violent episode happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the 7-Eleven located at 401 El Camino Real, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The suspect entered the convenience store, stole multiple items and left, but she returned moments later and assaulted the clerk with a metal rod, according to the sheriff’s office.

The employee suffered minor injuries.

Deputies searched for the suspect but did not find her. She was later identified as a 36-year-old resident of San Francisco.

On Sunday, San Francisco police officers found the suspect in the 2900 block of San Bruno Avenue. She was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City on charges of robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The suspect remained in custody Monday, according to online jail records. Her bail was set at $50,000.
