San Francisco homicides: Tenderloin stabbing, walk-in shooting victim

Bay Area homicides 2024: Map and details

• Around 4 a.m., officers responding to a call in the 900 block of Geary Street found a person suffering from an apparent stab wound. Despite aid from officers and paramedics, the person died at the scene.

The suspect was inside the building, and officers persuaded him to come out peacefully. The 47-year-old San Francisco man was detained and arrested on suspicion of murder.

• Around 11:30 p.m., officers were called to a hospital where a woman had died after walking in with gunshot wounds. Police did not say where the shooting is thought to have taken place; the investigation is being handled out of the Taraval Station, in the Sunset district.
