SAN JOSE — Multiple police were units responded Monday evening to a report of a possible shooting and a barricaded suspect inside a home on North 20th Street, northeast of downtown.
As of 7:50 p.m., police special operations personnel had arrived at the home in the 300 block of North 20th Street and were attempting to negotiate a peaceful surrender by the suspect, according to an X post from San Jose police media relations.
Police also described as the area as “very active” and asked the public to stay away as much as possible.
The incident began just after 6 p.m. with a call that described a possible shooting. However, no other details were available about the incident, including whether anyone was injured.
