OAKLAND — A 35-year-old man was shot in West Oakland Friday morning, authorities said.
The man pulled his truck into a gas station in the 600 block of Market street around 3 a.m. yelling for help, authorities said.
He had been shot in the abdomen. authorities said. He was taken to a hospital but his condition was not immediately available.
Police believe he was shot in the area, possibly nearby on Castro Street, but were still trying to confirm that.

Police are also trying to determine if the man was driving when he was shot or was stopped.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No suspect information has been released.
