OAKLAND — A 26-year-old San Francisco man shot May 25 while driving in East Oakland has died, authorities said Friday.
Police identified him as Demetrius Pass. He died Wednesday.
Police have not determined a motive for the shooting and no arrests were announced.
The shooting happened about 2:24 a.m. May 25.
Police said Pass was shot while driving near the intersection of of Frazier Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. He was able to drive several blocks before crashing into a fence in the 10600 block of Foothill Boulevard where he was found and taken to a hospital.
Police did not say why Pass was in Oakland.
The killing is the 35th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time police had investigated 43 homicides in the city.
