Officers responded to the 1100 block of Macaulay Street about 6 p.m., according to a statement from Lt. Desmond Bittner. When they arrived, the man was down near the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound, he said.

Police worked to treat the man until an ambulance arrived and took him to a hospital, Bittner said. He died there.

Authorities identified him as Henry Granado II, of Pittsburg.
