San Jose: Police seek suspects in armed robbery of cannabis dispensary

SAN JOSE — Police have released surveillance images from the February robbery of a San Jose cannabis dispensary in search of public tips that will help them find three remaining suspects in the crime, authorities said.

The robbery was reported Feb. 14 around 4:25 a.m. at a dispensary on Charter Park Drive near Communications Hill, according to a San Jose police news release.

An initial investigation found that three people forced their way inside and stole several items while a fourth person stood outside. Police said when they tried to drive away from the site, they were confronted by security guards, which prompted someone inside the vehicle to fire one shot at them with a handgun.

As the vehicle pulled away, someone fired at least one more shot at the guards. There is no indication from police that anyone was hit by the gunfire.

San Jose robbery detectives later identified one suspect, who was arrested in San Francisco on May 28. During the arrest, police served a search warrant at the person’s home and seized a stolen handgun, ammunition and multiple stolen vehicle license plates.

Police have not publicly identified the suspect, who they say was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of attempted murder and armed robbery. That may be due to the fact that they are seeking three remaining suspects.
