Battery: At 11 a.m., the suspect approached the victim and slapped him across the face after a verbal disagreement. The incident is being submitted for review by the District Attorney’s Office.
June 4
Possession of drug paraphernalia: At 8:20 p.m., deputies encountered a pedestrian at Saratoga Avenue and Kosich Drive. An investigation revealed the suspect had a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. During a search, deputies found the suspect to be in possession of two methamphetamine pipes. The suspect was cited and released.

Identity theft: Between 9:56 a.m. on June 4 to 1:48 p.m. on June 6, someone used a Saratoga resident’s personal information to open a bank account without authorization. The victim did not suffer any financial loss.
Possession of counterfeit property: At 1:15 p.m., someone attempted to sell counterfeit Apple products to construction workers in the 18000 block of Cox Ave. The suspect fled before deputies arrived.
June 8
Shoplifting: At 12:13 p.m., the suspect entered Safeway on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and stole merchandise valued at approximately $30. The suspect was cited and released.
