Princess Anne is reportedly still hospitalized and experiencing memory loss from head injuries she suffered in an “incident” involving a horse at her home over the weekend.

The 73-year-old sister of King Charles, and only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth, is expected to return home this week, according to The Telegraph.

Buckingham Palace on Monday confirmed in a statement that the former Olympic equestrian “sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident” Sunday evening at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, about 100 miles northwest of London.

The injuries, which forced the postponement of multiple planned engagements this week, are reportedly consistent with a potential impact from a horse’s head or legs.

The palace at the time characterized the hospitalization as “a precautionary measure for observation,” noting the royal was “expected to make a full and swift recovery.”

“The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery,” concluded the statement.

After visiting her on Tuesday, Anne’s husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, said the royal “is recovering well” and thanked the medical and emergency professionals along with well-wishers.

This is just the latest health-related incident in the British Royal Family, as both the monarch and Kate Middleton undergo treatment for cancer, following simultaneous hospital stays earlier this year.
