The suspect, Santiago Pratt, 31, of Oakland, is still being investigated in a suspected sexual assault of a third woman in Oakland in May, authorities said.

Pratt, who was arrested June 19 in Berkeley, is charged with two counts of forcible rape. One count has an enhancement of use of a weapon. He is being held on $300,000 bail at Santa Rita Jail and is scheduled for a plea hearing July 9.

The suspected gunpoint sexual assault happened May 27 in East Oakland in the area of 85th Avenue and Olive Street.

The 33-year-old victim told police she knew Pratt and they had gone to her home, where he demanded sex from her, the records say. When she said no, an altercation broke out and he allegedly pulled a gun and forcibly raped her while brandishing the weapon, records say. The records say Pratt allegedly threatened to “shoot the place up.”

The Pittsburg sexual assault he is charged with happened in December 2022.

That victim, a woman in her 30s, notified Oakland police after seeing media accounts last month that he was being sought in the Oakland attacks.

According to court records, Pratt was convicted of second degree robbery in Alameda County in March of 2013 and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Details about the robbery were not available Monday.
