The residents, mostly adults but also some juveniles, were able to get out on their own, including the man who later died at a hospital from smoke inhalation, officials said.

The fire was brought under control at 3:47 a.m. by 25 firefighters, fire department spokesman Michael Hunt said. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was an electrical issue, Hunt said.

A damage estimate was not immediately available.
