49ers enter NFL playoffs as betting favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII

Betting on the 49ers to win the Super Bowl won’t elicit a huge payout this year.

Entering the NFL playoffs, which begin with the Wild Card round on Saturday afternoon, the 49ers are the favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

As the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a bye and home-field advantage throughout the postseason, the 49ers are Vegas darlings at plus-225, which means a $100 wager would pay out $225 if they win it all, according to ESPN Bet.

The next-closest team in the NFC is the Dallas Cowboys at plus-750, then the Philadelphia Eagles at plus-1,400, the Detroit Lions at plus-1,800, the Los Angeles Rams at plus-5,000, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at plus-7,500 and Green Bay Packers at plus-10,000.

In the AFC, the No. 1 seeded Baltimore Ravens are the favorites with plus-325 odds to win the Super Bowl, followed by the Buffalo Bills at plus-600, the Kansas City Chiefs at plus-900, the Miami Dolphins at plus-1,800, the Cleveland Browns at plus-2,500, the Houston Texans at plus-4,000 and the Pittsburgh Steelers at plus-15,000.

49ers playoff outlook: Which potential opponent is biggest threat?

As of Monday, more money had been placed on the 49ers than any other team, according to BetMGM.

The Bills would cost sportsbooks the most money. After their 6-6 start they had a 21% chance to make the playoffs and a 4% chance to win the AFC East, which they won with a 21-14 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

ESPN reported that popular bookmaker SuperBook Sports also stands to lose money if the 49ers, Eagles or Steelers win it all.
