OAKLAND — A Grass Valley resident has been charged with molesting a teen he met on a dating application, as well as providing the 15-year-old with methamphetamine and cocaine, which they allegedly used together.
Dominic Niosi, 43, has been charged with multiple felony counts of child molestation, as well as a count of child abuse. He has also been charged with receiving lewd pictures from the teen.

Police say the two met in person last June 20, and that Niosi strangled the victim to the point of unconsciousness during the assault. The teen later came forward to police, who were able to identify Niosi through electronic records, authorities said.
Niosi has pleaded not guilty. He remains jailed in lieu of $410,000 bail, records show. His preliminary hearing has been set for Oct. 1, when a judge will review prosecution evidence and determine if there is enough to uphold the charges.
