The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Palmetto Avenue, according to the Pacifica Police Department.

Police said the driver of a yellow Toyota FJ Cruiser collided with two parked cars near Palmetto and Shoreview avenues before crashing into the parked police vehicle.

The driver of the Toyota showed “objective signs of intoxication,” according to police. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was taken to an area hospital to be medically evaluated for a complaint of pain.

At the time of the incident, the man was on probation for a previous DUI conviction, police said.
