According to court records, Contra Costa County prosecutors have charged 47-year-old Emilio Martinez-Alarcon with six counts of committing a lewd act upon a child; three counts of committing a forcible lewd act upon a child; and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. All of the charges come with the enhancement that there were sex crimes with one specified circumstance, court documents said.
Concord police in a statement said they arrested Martinez-Alarcon on Sept. 25 following an investigation by its Special Victims Unit. They said he is suspected of committing his crimes against more than one victim.
He remained in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility on Thursday in lieu of $11 million bail.
Police said they have reason to believe Martinez-Alarcon may have assaulted additional victims who have not reported it. They put his mug shot on their social media sites and asked anyone with additional information to contact Det. Clifton Huffmaster at 925-671-5080.
