Half Moon Bay basketball player Delaney Dorwin is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Jan. 2-6.
Dorwin finished first with 33.79% of the vote. She edged Northgate basketball player Amelia Schrag (33.64%).
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Dorwin, a 5-foot-8 guard, had a career-high 29 points in a 61-43 triumph over Burlingame. She added eight rebounds, six steals and five assists as the Cougars improved to 10-2. She is a junior.
