Man performed dental work without a license in South Bay, police say

Vehicle theft: Between 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 25 and 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, someone stole a vehicle parked at Wheel Works on Prospect Road. The value of the vehicle was not provided.

Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported receiving an email claiming someone compromised their Social Security number. No financial loss was reported.

Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information and attempted to open a credit card account.

Oct. 20

Possession of a stolen vehicle: At 4:41 p.m., deputies responded to an automated license plate reader notification for a stolen vehicle at Farwell Avenue and Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. An investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Vallejo and was still outstanding. Deputies located and stopped the vehicle, and further investigation revealed the driver was in violation of probation terms and a passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding warrant. Both suspects were arrested and booked into main jail.
