Highway 9 closures
Closures along Highway 9 from Sanborn Road to Redwood Gulch Road will continue until Nov. 5, according to the city of Saratoga.
The roadway will be fully closed on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends one-way traffic control will be in place during the same hours. The roadway will remain closed for Caltrans to remove debris and clean drainage systems, according to the city.
Teen CERT Academy
Local youth ages 13 -18 can get certified for the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, at an academy that runs Nov. 8-10.
Saratoga’s CERT is a group of trained volunteers who provide disaster relief in in the city in the event of an emergency. The teen CERT academy will take place at Los Altos High School at 201 Almond Ave. in Los Altos.

SUSD parcel tax oversight
Community members who live within the Saratoga Union School District’s boundaries are invited to apply for the district’s parcel tax oversight committee.
The district is currently accepting applications, which are due on Nov. 1. Interested applicants can learn more about the parcel tax and find the application at saratogausd.org/departments/business-services/parcel-tax.
