‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Whitney Leavitt welcomes baby no. 3

Whitney Leavitt is officially a mother of three after giving birth to her son Billy Gene Leavitt.

“We are most excited about having our family complete. We’ve always wanted three kids and we’re so happy everyone’s here now,” the reality star told People after giving birth on Oct. 24.

The 31 year old also explained the process of choosing the name of her and husband Conner’s newborn. “We’ve always waited to name our children after meeting them, but with Billy, we fell in love with the name immediately — even before meeting him.”

“We loved the gender neutrality in the name since we weren’t finding out the baby’s gender until delivery, which we’ve never done before,” she noted. “The name allowed us to feel connected to the baby without knowing the gender.”

The Leavitts were already parents to 2-year-old son Liam and 4-year-old daughter Sedona, who both “thought they were having a new baby sister,” Whitney Leavitt shared. “Upon meeting Billy, they were a bit surprised that they actually didn’t get to decide the baby’s gender. But, they’ve warmed up to him quickly and now all they want to do is hold their new baby brother.”

But Leavitt says she had a feeling the new addition to the family was a boy all along. “I was very confident that I was having a boy because Billy’s pregnancy was so similar to my son, Liam’s, pregnancy,” she explains. “Finding out the gender in the delivery room was a feeling of greater anticipation that I couldn’t wait for. Finding out we were having another boy was an overwhelming sense of emotion.”

Leavitt announced her pregnancy on the popular Hulu reality series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” The nature of the announcement shocked viewers. Leavitt controversially told her family and friends by putting her positive test in a cake. Whitney insists she “Cloroxed the heck out of it” before serving it to her family and admits they “definitely ate the cake.”

Whitney has confirmed she’ll be back for season 2, despite previously announcing she would no longer be part of “#MomTok. In an Instagram post, she posted a text sent to her co-stars saying, “Excited to film season 2 with all of you. I know there’s tough conversations ahead but I look forward to our journey together.”
