Saratoga seeks youth commissioners

Saratoga seeks youth commissioners

Youth commission recruitment

Applications are being accepted for Saratoga residents in grades 7-11 who want to serve on the city’s youth commission. The 11 student commissioners are appointed by the Saratoga City Council for two-year terms. Their role is to serve as liaisons between the young citizens of Saratoga and the city council. In addition, commissioners plan, promote and participate in community service, and educational and fun activities for the city’s youth.

Applications are due April 26, with interviews by the City Council taking place in May. For more information, visit https://www.saratoga.ca.us/331/Vacancies. Students must attend one commission meeting before submitting an application. The next Youth Commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. For more information, visit https://www.saratoga.ca.us/337/Youth-Commission.
