After hearing from King Charles III that he has cancer, Prince Harry is reportedly flying to London as soon as possible to be by his father’s side as he undergoes treatment.
The Duke of Sussex is expected to leave California “soon” to travel to the U.K., but it’s not known whether his wife, Meghan Markle, and two children, Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, will accompany him, the Daily Mail reported.
A source close to the Montecito-based Harry and Meghan said he had spoked to the 75-year-old king about his diagnosis. The Daily Mail’s royal reporter Rebecca English said on X that Charles personally notified all members of his immediate family, including his two sons and his three siblings, that he had cancer.
Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that doctors discovered the cancer during a medical procedure for an enlarged prostate. However, palace sources said the king does not have prostate cancer.

Charles also has been in close contact with Prince William, who is estranged from Harry. The heir to the throne returned to public duties this week after helping his wife, Kate Middleton, settle in at home as she recovers from abdominal surgery. William also is expected to undertake some public duties for his father while he undergoes treatment.
Harry was last in the UK over the summer, when he attended an event for a children’s charity. However, he did not meet with any members of the royal family during that visit, the Daily Mail reported. Harry is said to have tense relations with some of the them, ever since he and Meghan left royal duties in 2020 and lobbed criticism against the monarchy in his book, “Spare,” and in their Netflix documentary, “Harry and Meghan.”
Harry also attended his father’s coronation in June 2023, but left London just hours after the ceremony.
