Opening day is now on the horizon for the two new restaurants coming to Santana Row.
The San Jose center announced last summer that these concepts — one Indian, one Peruvian-Spanish — would make their debut in early 2024, along with a number of new retail shops.

Opening first will be Suspiro, with a planned date of Feb. 19. This Latin fusion concept comes from the owners of the highly successful El Jardin and Zazil nearby. Chef Oscar Santos-Pelegrin, a Barcelona native, will present an inaugural menu that highlights fresh seafood and grilled meats for brunch, lunch and dinner. Suspiro is being built at The Plaza next to Barry’s Bootcamp.
Look for Fitoor to open in the weeks after that. This Indian grill and lounge is taking over the space that formerly housed Amber India. The concept comes from the team behind the Rooh restaurants, Anu and Vikram Bhambri. They opened in San Francisco in 2017 and then expanded to Palo Alto in early 2020 with a contemporary menu in an upscale dining room.
Last September, Santana Row welcomed Urban Plates, a fast-casual restaurant with a scratch kitchen, to the center.
Details: Suspiro, 3060 Olsen Drive, and Fitoor, 377 Santana Row, San Jose. Stay tuned for updates or follow the progress at www.santanarow.com.
